The TUHH is one of the youngest and most successful universities in Germany. The plans for a technical university in Süderelbe area date back to the '20s. 50 years later, in 1978, was the TUHH - the objective is to promote structural change in the region - a reality.

Between 1982 and 2005 fit in Hamburg's south, a campus university, whose modern buildings into the terrain. The campus with its greenery and trees invites you to linger. Gradually, the TUHH their terrain to the edge of the Schwarzenberg extended to the north.

With the introduction of international courses the TUHH foreign and German students has made the offer to combine the advantages of the German engineering education with the benefits of internationally compatible degrees.
