The mission of our university is to make a contribution to Church and society in the fields of education and science. As a free church-Adventist institution, we are connected to the Reformation tradition and innovative thinking. Research and teaching are based on scientific methods therefore, in principle result of openness and responsibility before God and man.
We focus on college as a profile on such disciplines, the service have on humans to content. Focus is on theology, social work, development and health sciences. We see ourselves as an international university that is committed to equal opportunities and intercultural committed and continues a long history of relations with countries in all continents.
We are a campus university. This means that train our teachers, staff and students a trusting, tolerant, multicultural and cooperative community. We want to encourage all members of this community holistically. Equality between women and men here is a basic reality, as well as respect for other religions, philosophies and cultures. As a family we want to facilitate university with appropriate conditions the balance between study, work and family. This also carries the structure of large campus with its embedding in in nature.
3RD RESEARCH AND TEACHING
We are committed to impart to students the fundamentals of their science as well as current research papers. The goal of teaching is to combine research and application expertise to ensure that our graduates meet the requirements in their areas of responsibility to high-quality way to meet. We also offer education and training in a life-long learning. Teachers and students contribute through publications for academic discourse. Our teaching and research are ethically sound Christian, holistic and interdisciplinary. They form a unit.
4TH SOCIETY AND SPIRITUALITY
We are convinced that constitute faith, education and living a law enforcement unit. We strive in our actions reflect a spirituality based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we encourage personal identity through encouragement and empowerment for self-reflection. Our goal is also to accompany the design of church and society constructively and critically. In this broad sense, we want to fulfill our mission as a university community.
