The Cologne University of Applied Sciences is the largest University of Applied Sciences in Germany. 16,000 students are taught by 400 professors. The offer of eleven faculties and the Institute for Tropical Technology includes about 70 courses, each about half in engineering and humanities and social sciences. Added in the fall of 2009 Natural Sciences.

Belong to the university in addition to locations in Cologne-Deutz, and in the south of Cologne and the Campus Gummersbach, under construction, the campus Leverkusen.

Eleven faculties are the basic organizational units of the University Cologne. They are each headed by a Faculty Council and a dean or a dean or deanery. The faculties currently offer a total of 50 courses. Details on individual courses, content and study requirements, please refer to the websites of the faculties and institutes.

Faculty of Applied Social Sciences (F01)
- Social exclusion and disintegration with
innovative concepts meet -

Faculty of Cultural Sciences (F02)

Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences (F03)

The information handling, archiving and processing and the structures of the new economy are in the departments of information science focus.

The language-related courses are required enable the graduates to at international ports of German or European companies and authorities to problems, the linguistic, transcultural, culture-and knowledge of economics.

Faculty of Economics (F04)
- Economy, Banking and Insurance; starting places for careers -
Due to the traditionally close cooperation with the teaching of business enterprises at home and abroad, offering programs at the department the best conditions for entry into an interesting career.
In addition to the undergraduate degree in business administration (Diplom), the courses Banking & Finance (graduate), International Business (Bachelor and Master), insurance (Bachelor and Master), and Business Law (Diploma) offered.

Faculty of Architecture (F05)
The Faculty provides the organizational framework of the Bachelor's and Master's degree program architecture, urbanism and NRW Masters of the MA technology and resource management in the tropics and subtropics dar.
The training offered by the Faculty of Architecture, is characterized by a practical teaching in the light of scientific principles.
Starting point for vocational qualification, knowledge of which form the basic knowledge of architects,
combined with the simultaneous acquisition of technical and artistic skills.

The master's program architecture is built on the scientific and artistic principles, methods and expertise of the Bachelor degree.
Some special knowledge come from the wells currently offered:
- Corporate Architecture
- Conservation, Planning in stock
- Energy-Building
- Project Management and Real Estate Economics

Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (F06)
- Develop, plan and build in harmony with the environment -
The most interesting programs at the department offer a wide range of topics. For a high, roads, bridges, dams and sewage treatment plants, on the other hand, the use of people, equipment and materials on construction sites as well as the supply and disposal in residential buildings, factories, community facilities, residential areas and cities.
Students are empowered by the study to adjust to the different requirements of construction practice and to respond flexibly to changing market situations.

Faculty of Information, Media and Electrical Engineering (F07) -three key disciplines under one roof

The Faculty offers a wide range of courses in the current computer science and engineering fields of technical communication technology, media and photographic technology and electrical engineering, the latter with a focus on automation, electrical power and optical technologies. The courses are closely geared to the profession are more internationally.
In the region of Cologne, a large number of companies and institutions by the manufacturing industry through the services and media companies to public sector employers are located, with some longstanding partnerships are maintained.
This allows a continuous updating of our course offerings, the use of modern technologies in the practical training and the handling of current scientific issues. The result for our graduates an attractive, not only regional, labor market.

Media and photographic technology IMP as a carrier of the lesson for the study of media and photographic technology.

Faculty of Automotive Systems and Production (F08)

The automotive and supplier industries and the manufacturing sector still have a key position in the industrial structure of the major economies. Characterized by continuous increases in productivity, constant innovation and high growth in Germany they are also of paramount importance and therefore provide for university graduates, excellent internal career prospects.

Faculty of Engineering, Energy and Mechanical Systems (F09)
- Natural and technological progress, a challenge for engineers of tomorrow -
Despite the variety of courses is placed in the faculty in 2009 a special focus on the thinking and work in complex contexts and on the responsible use of technology in nature.
Besides the theoretical basic knowledge is mediated by complex, practical projects and technical problems, methodological structural knowledge, exemplary learning and teamwork.

Faculty of computer science and engineering (F10)
