The largest private university in New Jersey, FDU is an independent, nonsectarian, coeducational, multicampus institution. Founded in 1942, FDU achieved four-year status in 1948 and approval as a university in 1956.
FDU's 12,000 full and part-time students pursue quality career-oriented programs on schedules tailored to their needs -- days, evenings and weekends. The curriculum reflects a mission of global education and a foundation of a world-renowned University Core.
FDU offers degrees, from associate to PhD, in disciplines and careers from the traditional liberal arts and sciences — biology to philosophy — engineering, nursing, criminal justice, psychology, computer science, electronic filmmaking and digital design, communication studies, fine arts, and creative writing to hotel and restaurant management, among many others. The AACSB-accredited Silberman College of Business provides career-focused preparation in entrepreneurial studies, accounting, marketing, finance, information systems, management through BS, MS and MBA degrees, including the Executive MBA.
Fairleigh Dickinson University has a 60 year history of reaching out to international students, and our reputation as a leader in global education is illustrated by the number of students from abroad who study here. Today, they host one of the largest international student bodies in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area -- over 1000 students from close to 80 countries -- which ranks them 24th in international enrollment in the United States among universities in their Carnegie peer group.

FDU has two main campuses in the United States. The College at Florham, in Morris County, New Jersey, is a picture-perfect collegiate environment. Ivy-covered buildings, a strong student life program, and traditional amenities and activities make Florham the kind of place people dream about.
The Metropolitan Campus, in Teaneck, New Jersey, is by contrast a fast-paced, professionally oriented environment that feeds off the energy of nearby New York City. Although the Metropolitan Campus is technically suburban, with many of the expected university-life elements, it is still a place where hustle and bustle are not far away. Many of FDU’s business, professional, science, and healthcare programs are based at the Metropolitan Campus.
FDU’s English campus, Wroxton College, offers students an opportunity to study abroad in an intensive environment. Wroxton is located in the heart of rural England but is still only 70 miles from London. FDU also offers an expansive study-abroad program and partners with other institutions in the U.S. as well.
Classes began in September 2007 at FDU-Vancouver, in scenic British Columbia, Canada.
