Important Information and Admission Requirements for First Choice Applicants
Vic One Program
Vic One is a distinctive program for first year students that takes a multidisciplinary approach to learning. The program focuses on four areas of study: humanities (Frye Stream), social sciences (Pearson Stream), sciences (Stowe-Gullen Stream), and education (Ryerson Stream). Enrolment is limited to 25 students in each section; students must submit the Vic One application to be considered for this program.
Small Class Requirement for First Year Students
Vic requires all newly admitted first year students to enrol in half or full year small seminar course. Being in a small class in first year, where you can get to know your fellow students, improves a student's academic experience and enhances the overall experience at university.
Admission Scholarships and Financial Aid
Vic has over 100 admission scholarships for newly admitted students. These scholarships are based on admission averages; all applicants are automatically considered.
Vic has a limited number of special admission scholarships that require an application. We encourage applicants who have demonstrated leadership through extracurricular or community activities, distinguished themselves through achievements in creative, performance arts or athletics, or have financial need to apply for these awards. This application is available following the completion of the Victoria College Student Profile or the Vic One Application.
Supportive Learning Environment
Vic has many services and support systems in place to ensure that every Vic student has a supportive learning environment. The Registrar's Office is a student's first stop for academic and student service information providing both individual and group advising sessions. The Office of the Dean of Students promotes community development and academic success of Vic students through program implementation, student and residence government as well as daily involvement with students.
