Victoria University
Toronto, Canada

University description (as per official university website)

We're happy you are considering applying to Victoria College, University of Toronto. Victoria College- Vic - is commited to providing our students with a personal and inclusive University experience both inside and outside the classroom, that includes clubs, athletics, social action groups and volunteer programs.

Please read about our many opportunities and initiatives below - we hope that you will find your place at Vic!

How do I apply to the University of Toronto and Victoria College?
Application for admission to the Faculty of Arts and Science, University of Toronto is made through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC).

All students in the Faculty of Arts and Science are members of one of the seven colleges on the St. George Campus. An important step in your application process is to rank the seven colleges in your order of preference.

Vic is a popular choice, only students who select Victoria College as their FIRST CHOICE will be considered.
Victoria College Student Profile
All applicants who are currently attending an Ontario High School and have selected Victoria College as their first choice are REQUIRED to complete either (but not both) the Victoria College Student Profile or the Vic One Application. Vic One is a unique program for first year students; the program is limited to 150 students. If you would like to be considered for this program you must complete the Vic One application. All other applicants MUST complete the regular Victoria College Student Profile.
Important Information and Admission Requirements for First Choice Applicants

Vic One Program
Vic One is a distinctive program for first year students that takes a multidisciplinary approach to learning. The program focuses on four areas of study: humanities (Frye Stream), social sciences (Pearson Stream), sciences (Stowe-Gullen Stream), and education (Ryerson Stream). Enrolment is limited to 25 students in each section; students must submit the Vic One application to be considered for this program.

Small Class Requirement for First Year Students
Vic requires all newly admitted first year students to enrol in half or full year small seminar course. Being in a small class in first year, where you can get to know your fellow students, improves a student's academic experience and enhances the overall experience at university.

Admission Scholarships and Financial Aid
Vic has over 100 admission scholarships for newly admitted students. These scholarships are based on admission averages; all applicants are automatically considered.

Vic has a limited number of special admission scholarships that require an application. We encourage applicants who have demonstrated leadership through extracurricular or community activities, distinguished themselves through achievements in creative, performance arts or athletics, or have financial need to apply for these awards. This application is available following the completion of the Victoria College Student Profile or the Vic One Application.

Supportive Learning Environment
Vic has many services and support systems in place to ensure that every Vic student has a supportive learning environment. The Registrar's Office is a student's first stop for academic and student service information providing both individual and group advising sessions. The Office of the Dean of Students promotes community development and academic success of Vic students through program implementation, student and residence government as well as daily involvement with students.

Residence Life: A Guaranteed Place
Vic provides a number of residence styles and programs that will meet your personal and academic needs. Residence life can be a valuable and memorable component of the experience of students, as an aid in transition to university life as a means of building lifelong friends, and as a support system where many students will be sharing new challenges and experiences together. Victoria College strongly encourages every student to consider residence for their first year.

Campus Life
Vic offers extracurricular opportunities and resources to encourage involvement in student life from orientation through to graduation. You can choose from many leadership roles in student government or participate in a wide range of clubs.

Campus and Virtual Tours
Vic encourages all applicants to attend one of our student led campus tours. Tours allow prospective students to get a feel for the campus environment, speak with current students, and explore our beautiful residences and facilities. If you don't live in the Toronto area we recommend that you watch the virtual tours of our residences.
