Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
Barrie, Canada

University description (as per official university website)

Why Worldwide is for you...
Because your education should reach as far as your aspirations.

Goals. Some people never run out of them. Just when they've achieved one, they're reaching for the next. The next level of education. The next step up the career ladder. The next step up in life. If this sounds like you, then your next step should be Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide.

It's education that works - especially for high octane (or highly motivated) people like you. People with full-time jobs - who are managing a career, a family, and a life. People with military careers that keep them on the move.

In other words, people who are willing to invest in themselves to get ahead.

At Embry-Riddle Worldwide, we remove the obstacles. Experience a premier education with compelling benefits designed to accommodate your demanding life, including:

More than 170 locations worldwide.
Courses taught by experts with real-world experience who are leaders in their fields.
A focused and efficient curriculum that instills real-world knowledge.
Flexible scheduling and online course delivery.
And every day, we're working on even more ways to improve our classrooms, enhance our curriculum, add to our program offerings and give you more options. Because, just like you, we won't stop reaching for excellence.

Embry-Riddle Worldwide.
Your world. Wide open.

Five Ways to Learn
At Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide, our goal is to give you exactly the education you need, exactly the way you need it. That's why, in addition to offering the industry's most sought after degrees and programs, we offer you more ways to take courses and complete those programs. Each of our learning modalities, while distinct in its delivery and operation, provides the same high-quality information, instruction, and opportunities for interaction with faculty and fellow students. Simply pick the one that fits your learning and lifestyle best, and embark on the road to educational success.

History and Background
Embry-Riddle Worldwide traces its beginnings to early 1970, when Dr. Wilbur A. Middleton, a soon-to-retire U.S. Army officer at Fort Rucker, AL, approached Embry-Riddle president Jack Hunt with the concept of awarding college credit to Army aviators for their military technical training.

Since 1995, more than 25,000 military personnel have earned degrees from Embry-Riddle Worldwide.

Through a combination of online courses and a network of more than 170 locations, Embry-Riddle Worldwide annually delivers instruction to over 26,000 students, with nearly 90,000 class enrollments.

During academic year 2008-2009, nearly 27,000 students pursued undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

The Worldwide Office of Professional Education provides nondegree courses and programs for adult workers in the aviation and aerospace industries through seminars, conferences, workshops, forums, and short courses – resulting in certificates of completion and/or CEUs. The department regularly delivers online courses leading to the Corporate Aviation Management Certificate through the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).
