University description (as per official university website)
The Christ For The Nations experience is intended to be both spiritually stretching and academically exciting. We want you to grow in your relationships with God, with other Christians, and with non-Christians.
CFN offers a single major in practical theology, from which you can choose from a variety of PERSONAL GROWTH, LAY LEADERSHIP and MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT programs.
Our practical theology major grounds you in the Bible, Christian thought, spiritual growth disciplines, and practical ministry skills.
MARRIED STUDENT GRANT The spouse of a full-time student may receive a 25% tuition grant. The spouse eligible for the discount is considered to be the one taking the fewer credit hours. The courses must be taken for credit. This spousal discount is offered when both spouses are registered in the same semester.
CHRISTIAN MINISTRY GRANT Students whose parent is in or has been in (during the past 6 months prior to registration) full-time Christian ministry (i.e. pastor, missionary, recognized para-church organization), is eligible for a 25% tuition grant when the student is enrolled full-time.
WORK STUDY SCHOLARSHIP Students can easily fit part-time employment into their study schedules. Morning classes for full-time students are from 8:00 am to noon, Monday through Friday. American and international students, whose visas from the Canadian government do not permit outside employment, may apply for on-campus work. A limited number of Work Study positions are available to students who meet the relevant job performance requirements. Work Study positions are assigned on the basis of need unless a position has specific requirements. Work Study Assistance application forms are provided to all applicants upon the completion of their application to CFN. Please note that a deadline of July 31st applies. Details are available from the Finance Office.
BURSARIES CFN awards bursaries as funds that are donated for student assistance. Applications are available for returning students at the Registrarís Office. Bursaries are normally awarded in the second semester of the school year.
