Athabasca University - Centre for Innovative Management (CIM)
St. Albert, Canada

University description (as per official university website)

In 1994, Athabasca University's (AU) Centre for Innovative Management (CIM) logged on with the world's first fully interactive online Executive MBA program. Today, the AU MBA is Canada's largest Executive MBA program, and has taken a place among the most respected Executive MBAs in the world.

In 2009, CIM continued the tradition by launching Canada's first online Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) program. This program is designed to develop highly qualified management talent who will foster innovation and competitive advantage for business and government in Alberta, Canada and world-wide.

In both programs, students representing a broad cross-section of industries, companies and geographic locations bring an exceptional diversity of experience, perspective and expertise to the rich online classroom interaction.

Our 24-hour online format makes it feasible and practical to work on a high quality graduate management education while meeting commitments to work and family. Using electronic communication, students are able to share documents, presentations, designs, procedures and processes across geographic and organizational boundaries at any time, night or day. AU MBA students study in Canada, the U.S., Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East and other regions around the world.

Financing and Scholarships

While there is no question that an Executive MBA is a large financial commitment, the potential rewards are many: increased credibility, mobility, job satisfaction, and income.

Ideally, your employer will sponsor all or at least part of your program, as they will benefit directly from your new knowledge and skills. Click on Employer Sponsorship for information you can use to help make the case to your employer that an AU online Executive MBA is an excellent investment for both of you.

Alternately, you may have to pay for your program on your own and will require financing. If you are a Canadian student, there are several options for individual financing (international students, please enquire in your home country).

Scholarships and Awards
Once you are in an AU online graduate management program, you may apply for scholarships and awards.
