South Coast College
Orange, United States- California

University description (as per official university website)

History

South Coast College has a rich history of success dating back to 1961. We have helped individuals improve their lives through education and career training for more than 45 years. Our caring, student-oriented environment differentiates us from other schools.

South Coast College was founded in 1961 in Long Beach, California, as a private college called Stenotype School of Long Beach. The School relocated to Westminster in 1974, and the corporate name was changed to Whitley College. In 1980, Orange County College of Court Reporting merged into Whitley College, and the name was changed to South Coast College. The School moved from Westminster to Anaheim in 1993. Then in 2001, South Coast College relocated to a larger, freeway-accessible facility in the city of Orange, where we currently help students like you prepare for legal and medical careers.

Over the past four decades, hundreds of South Coast College students have gained the knowledge and skills to improve their lives. We have only been successful as a school because of the students who have graduated from our programs and achieved great careers. We are very proud of our ability to help others set and obtain their career goals. We will continue to improve our programs and change to meet the challenges of today’s technology-based professions.

South Coast College believes that, with the highly competitive job market, postsecondary education is an extremely valuable asset. We help our students gain career-specific skills and knowledge, allowing them to qualify for a variety of in-demand careers.
The Mission of South Coast College

The mission of SOUTH COAST COLLEGE is to provide quality education and training in a caring, student-oriented environment to highly motivated individuals who wish to improve their lives.

SOUTH COAST COLLEGE believes that, in this highly competitive business world, postsecondary education that trains people, both in the skills and the language of specific careers, is a valuable asset. The school was founded on the philosophy that concentrated training in a chosen career can offer an alternative or complement to other types of postsecondary education.
