Mt. San Jacinto College, also known as MSJC, is a community college located in Riverside County, California, United States. It was established in 1962. MSJC consists of two main campuses, one located in San Jacinto (San Jacinto Campus) and the other in Menifee (Menifee Valley Campus). The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study.

MSJC owns a smaller facility located in Temecula (Temecula Education Complex Ė TEC). Classes are also held at several satellite locations. The college also provides online education. The student population of MSJC is made up of 62% women and 38% men.

MSJC fields various menís and womenís athletic teams including baseball, basketball, and golf to name a few. Their official mascot is the Eagle.

Financial Aid Student Eligibility

Financial aid administered or approved by MSJC under Federal Pell Grant, Federal Work Study (FWS), Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), or Federal Stafford Loan is based on the student meeting the following conditions:

* Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
* Be registered with the Selective Service System (if required)
* Be working toward a degree or certificate
* Be making satisfactory academic progress
* Not owe a refund on a federal grant or be in default on a federal educational loan
* Have "financial need" as determined in part by submitting the FAFSA

To be eligible for California grants, you must:

* Be a resident of California
* Have "financial need" based on the criteria for the Board of Governor's Enrollment Fee Waiver or Cal Grant Program

Educational Preparation:

* You must have a high school diploma; OR
* Possess a General Education Development (GED) certificate or a California High School Certificate of Proficiency; OR
* Take the Ability to Benefit Test administered by MSJC and attain a passing score

Course of Study:

* Enroll in a program of study leading to an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree
* Enroll in a two year program that is acceptable for credit toward a Bachelor's Degree (transfer course of study) at a 4-year college or university
* Enroll in a career education certificate program

Meet Satisfactory Progress Standards:

* Maintain a minimum 2.00 Grade Point Average (GPA)
* Maintain the required completion rate according to the Standards of Academic Progress for financial aid eligibility
* Complete a program of study within 120% of the published length of the program (programs are listed in the college catalogue or on worksheets available from the Counseling Office.)
