Marymount College
Rancho Palos Verdes, United States- California

University description (as per official university website)

Itís no secret that Marymount College is an extraordinary place. After all, our campus is nestled located along the picturesque coastline of Southern California. Yet, the breathtaking view is far from the most exceptional feature of our College. The real secret lies in the opportunity to attend a top-notch college with no crowds, no traffic and no hassles; a world away from the buzz of the city, yet just minutes from the freeway. A college with Bachelorís and Associateís degree programs that fit your educational goals with a distinctly personal touch.

Our tradition sets us apart. Established by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic order, Marymount has continued in their culture and tradition for more than 75 years. However, we welcome all nationalities and faiths, and provide an open, accepting environment for students to continue and explore their own religious heritage while learning about ours.
Optimism is our advantage. We believe in each studentís success. We work toward this goal through dedicated faculty and staff, small class sizes and open dialogue about all of lifeís opportunities. With both two-and four-year degree programs to fit our studentsí academic goals, this translates into personal achievement.

We anticipate the future. We are currently expanding our exceptional Marymount College experience. In addition to our new four-year degree programs in Business, Liberal Arts and Media Studies, future construction projects on campus include a new, state-of-the-art library and improved athletic facilities. We explore innovative ways to ensure that our students become successful scholars. Our learning support services are second to none.

We welcome you to our campus and our website. Whatever your educational goals, we are confident that you will benefit from Marymount College's exceptional academic experience. We would love to welcome you to our campus. If you are close-by, we would be happy to meet with you and discuss how Marymount College can help you be the best student you can be. For those who are distant, talking with us is just a click away here on our website. No matter where you are now, rest assured, you will feel right at home at Marymount College in Palos Verdes Ė a truly extraordinary place.

Financial Aid

2010-2011 tuition and fees $25,474
Room & Board $11,078

About 71 percent of our students receive financial aid. The average financial aid package awarded in 2009 was $18,500

Total awards ranged from $1,000 to $33,392 and included federal, state, private and Marymount College funds. Award packages were comprised of grants, scholarships, work study, student loans and parent loans.

To apply for financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This one form determines your eligibility for federal, state and Marymount College funds, including grants, scholarships, loans and work study. Some students may be asked for additional information once we have received their processed FAFSA form.

The Financial Aid Office will notify students of any documents needed in addition to the FAFSA. March 1 is the priority deadline for financial aid consideration. All application materials should be received in the Financial Aid Office by March 1, to receive the best possible funding consideration. In addition, students must have completed their application for admission by this date. The Financial Aid Office will continue to award students after the priority on a funds-available basis. Questions?

Please feel free to call the Office of Admission. To fill out your FAFSA on-line, click here.

Marymount's school code for FAFSA is 010474.
