California Healing Arts College
Los Angeles, United States- California

University description (as per official university website)

California Healing Arts College is a Los Angeles Massage School located in West Los Angeles, California, only two blocks from Santa Monica and only ten minutes drive to the Pacific ocean and Santa Monica pier. This Los Angeles based massage therapy school was founded in 1988 by
Dr. Paul Schwinghamer, a chiropractor and educator devoted to massage therapy training, and to expanding the general public's awareness of therapeutic massage. In 1999, the school was listed in the popular book "Massage for Dummies" as one of the top ten massage therapy schools in the United States.

Our philosophy at California Healing Arts College is that learning is an enjoyable and mentally stimulating process where students and teachers work closely together and benefit alike. Our purpose is to promote Massage Therapy as a non-invasive healing art in its own right, and as a needed adjunct to present forms of medicine, chiropractic, and acupuncture. Our focus is both scientific and intuitive, blending Eastern and Western thought with the practical consideration of gaining employment as a successful Massage Therapist upon graduation.

Financial Aid

California Healing Arts College is an eligible Los Angeles Massage School based in West Los Angeles, California, that is provisionally approved by the United States Department of Education to participate in the following programs: Federal Pell Grant, Federal Family Education Loan Program, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Work Study Program, and Vocational Rehabilitation Programs.

To help you understand the available financial aid programs and your rights and responsibilities under them, the United States Department of Education offers a brochure entitled THE STUDENT GUIDE TO FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID PROGRAMS, which explains financial assistance in detail. You may obtain a copy of this booklet from our Financial Aid Office.

Financial aid may include both grants and loans. These different forms of financial assistance are integrated into a financial aid package, according to your eligibility and need. There are several financial aid programs available to qualified Massage Therapy Program students attending the California Healing Arts College, including Alternative Loan programs, which you can read about below, and Federal Financial Aid Programs.
