University description (as per official university website)

Nazarene Bible College has a clear purpose, has a strong affiliation to the church, and provides quality education.

Clear Purpose

Nazarene Bible College exists to glorify Jesus Christ as Lord by preparing adults to evangelize, disciple, and minister to the world. Since 1967 Nazarene Bible College has fulfilled its mission of preparing men and women for ministry.

Strong Affiliation

Nazarene Bible College is one of ten Nazarene institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the two institutions charged by the denomination with the relatively exclusive task of preparing ministers.

Quality Education

Nazarene Bible College is accredited by both The Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, 2006 and the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), 1976.

Reasons to Choose Nazarene Bible College:
Nazarene Bible College is accessible, affordable, and accountable

Programs:

- Traditional Degree Program

Nazarene Bible College offers two degrees—the Bachelor of Arts in Ministry (B.A.Min.) and the Associate of Arts in Lay Ministries (A.A.L.M.). These degrees are offered through two design structures—the traditional degree structure and the Advantage accelerated degree structure. Both structures are offered on campus and online.
In the traditional degree structure, a B.A.Min. major can be taken in Bible and Theology, Christian Counseling (campus only), Christian Educational Ministries, Counseling for Christian Ministries (online only), Music Ministries, or Pastoral Ministries.
The A.A.L.M. degree offers concentrations in Church Ministries, Christian Educational Ministries, Early Education Ministries, Music Ministries, and Women's Studies.

- Advantage Program

The NBC Advantage program is designed for busy adults just like you. In as little as two years, you can finish your degree by attending class just one night per week at the Colorado Springs campus or taking one class at a time via the NBC Online delivery platform.

- Ministry Preparation Program

MPP provides a threshold level of education for completing the denominational course of study (COS) for ordination as elder in the Church of the Nazarene. NBC is approved by the Church of the Nazarene International Board of Education for training leaders toward ordination or commission in the ministries of the Church.

- Continuing Education
Nazarene Bible College, in an effort to provide ministerial continuing education through an online delivery system, has created the Institute for Ministry Enrichment. This service to the church is designed as a high quality, low cost program that can benefit the clergy in every church.

Scholarships

Requirements

Various individuals and groups have established scholarships at NBC. Scholarship applications may be obtained from the financial aid office and must be submitted no later than April 15 of each school year. A scholarship committee reviews the applications and makes awards for the next school year based upon the following criteria:

1. Completion of a minimum of 12 NBC hours;
2. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0;
3. Enrolled for at least 6 hours at time of application deadline.

The student must maintain enrollment at least three-quarter time to remain eligible for disbursements during the award year. Withdrawal from courses may result in loss of scholarship funds. Awards are announced in May and are credited to student accounts at the beginning of each trimester of the following school year.
