University description (as per official university website)

Gateway Technical College collaborates with communities in Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth counties to ensure economic growth and viability by providing education, training, leadership, and technological resources to meet the changing needs of students, employers, and communities.

Gateway offers instructional programs from its campuses and through distance learning opportunities, such as online courses, to approximately 29,000 students annually. Approximately 5,000 full time equivalent students are registered in over 65 career training programs.

Major campuses are located in:
* Kenosha
* Racine
* Elkhorn

Gateway Centers located in:
* Burlington

Academics:

Gateway Technical College prepares students for rewarding careers through more than 65 associate degree and diploma programs. In addition, advanced technical certificates are offered to professionals seeking additional training or certification in their fields of expertise. Gateway certificates are generally 11-13 credit programs of study that offer a program of study concentrating on a section of the degree program.
Gateway also supports a robust Apprenticeship program of on-the-job and classroom training.

Each of our degree and diploma program areas require general studies courses such as math, science, and communications appropriate to the field of work. If a student requires some remedial coursework in these areas, that will be identified through assessment.

Scholarships

Numerous scholarships are available to Gateway students. Some are national in scope (check with Gateway Financial Aid offices). Some are available through parents’ employers (check with the company’s human resources department).

Numerous scholarships are available each year to continuing Gateway students through the Gateway Technical College Foundation.
