Scholarships:

University Scholarships

- Presidential Scholarship: This award is available to incoming freshmen who have completed a college preparatory course of study with a high school grade point average (gpa) of 3.2 or higher and composite SAT of 1100 on Critical Reading and Math or ACT of 24. This award includes $5,000 applicable to the cost of tuition and fees and a waiver valued at $2,000 applicable to room and board costs. This scholarship is renewable up to three additional years if the recipient maintains a cumulative g.p.a. of 3.0, earn at least 30 credit hours each year, participate in the University honors program, and maintains residence on campus.

- Provost Scholarship: This award is available to incoming freshmen who have completed a college preparatory course of study with a high school grade point average (gpa) of 3.0 or higher and composite SAT of 1000 on Critical Reading and Math or ACT of 21. This award includes $1,500 applicable to the cost of tuition and fees and a waiver valued at $2,000 applicable to room and board costs. This scholarship is renewable up to three additional years if the recipient maintains a cumulative g.p.a. of 3.0, earn at least 30 credit hours each year, participate in the University honors program, and maintains residence on campus

- Fine and Performing Arts Scholarship: This award is available to incoming freshmen or transfer students who demonstrate outstanding talent in music or fine arts. An audition or a portfolio may be required. Students must receive recommendations from a secondary school teacher or counselor and the Virginia State Univ
