About
The School of Arts and Sciences constitutes the liberal arts core of the University of Pittsburgh, one of the major public research universities in the United States. The responsibilities that constitute the school's missions are core elements of the overall mission of the University and have four primary components that draw on our traditional roles and historic and current strengths as a liberal arts school: undergraduate education, faculty research and scholarship, graduate education, and service.
A&S Scholarships
Arts and Sciences makes annual scholarship and prize awards to our students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement. Eligible students will receive an invitation and an application form to apply for these awards.

Scholarships:
A University of Pittsburgh academic scholarship is merit-based financial aid. All freshmen who file a complete admissions application by the suggested deadline, including all supporting documents, are automatically considered for an academic scholarship. Academic transcripts and SAT I or ACT scores, submitted with your Application for Admission, will determine your possible scholarship eligibility.
Students engaged in a particularly challenging curriculum or attending a highly competitive high school will be given consideration when being evaluated for scholarships.
University of Pittsburgh academic scholarships may range in value from $2000 per year to full tuition and room and board. University of Pittsburgh academic scholarships are generally available for eight full time undergraduate terms, provided the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA and meets all of the other terms and conditions of the specific award. |
