Scholarships or student grants program description

At Slippery Rock University, we are pleased to be able to offer a variety of scholarship opportunities to incoming fall freshmen. Our freshman scholarships are administered through the Office of Financial Aid in conjunction with related departments. These scholarships are based on diverse criteria specific to each scholarship including academic record, talent, place of residence and major. While the scholarship application deadline for the majority of scholarships is February 15, some of our most prestigious scholarships are offered as early as December, therefore, students with strong academic records are encouraged to apply for admission to SRU by December 1, 2009.

• Students must have applied for and been offered admission to SRU in order to be considered for any scholarships.

Criteria:

Graduate of Moon Area, Cornell or Montour High Schools in PA. Student must demonstrate good performance. Student must demonstrate Financial Need and the scholarship is renewable.

Amount:up to $2500

Deadline:February 15, 2009
