The MSU College of Business offers a number of scholarships each academic year which vary in amount from approximately $500 to $1000 each. Applications (available at the MSU College of Business web site) are accepted each spring term with a February 15 deadline for submission. Recipients are typically notified of their award for the upcoming academic year by May and receive ½ in the fall and ½ in the spring. To be eligible for these scholarships, a student must be enrolled full-time at MSU with a declared business major. Additional criteria vary by scholarship and are listed below.
Undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or transfer
Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (entering freshmen eligibility based on athletic eligibility requirements which include 2 of the following: minimum ACT score of 18, high school GPA of 2.0 or higher, and/or class rank in upper half of graduating class)
Preference given to Ward County resident
Financial need as determined by FAFSA or a like determination
To be eligible for consideration, you must have declared a COB
major, be enrolled as a full-time MSU student (minimum 12 hours of credit), and submit
the following to the COB Scholarship Selection Committee (Old Main 301, Minot State
University, Minot, ND 58707) by February 15 (or next business day if it falls on a weekend):
1) completed application form
2) 1-2 page biographical statement (including career goals/future plans)
3) 2 letters of reference (do NOT use family members or classmates)
