Scholarships or student grants program description

SMART is available to undergraduate students who major in physical, life or computer science, engineering, mathematics, technology or a critical foreign language.
Application Process: Eligibility is determined upon Adelphi's receipt of the processed FAFSA. Students should complete and file the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1, but no later than February 15 to ensure maximum eligibility.

Range of Awards: Awards range up to $4,000 per year for third and fourth year students.

Special Provisions: To be considered for SMART a student must: (1) be a U.S. citizen; (2) be a Pell Grant recipient; (3) be enrolled full-time in a four-year degree-granting institution; (4) have at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale (as set forth in regulations to be promulgated soon).

Notification: Eligible students will receive an award summary indicating that they are eligible for the SMART grants.
