Announcement follows
The Fondazione Manlio Masi, the Laurea Magistrale in Economia Internazionale and the Master in Commercio Internazionale - MASCI, University of Padova, are pleased to announce the 3rd edition of the Brixen Workshop & Summer School on International Trade and Finance will be held in Bressanone/Brixen between September 16 and September 22, 2012. The Summer School will consist of a set of lectures on Recent Developments in International Trade and Economic Geography while the Workshop will be devoted to the presentation and discussion of working papers presented by selected participants.
The Workshop and Summer School are intended for PhD students, graduates and young economists from all over the world.
The lecturers of the 2012 edition are Marius Brülhart (Université de Lausanne), Donald Davis (Columbia University), Thierry Mayer (Science Po, Paris), Daniel Sturm (London School of Economics) and Federico Trionfetti (Aix-Marseille School of Economics).
Admissions and deadlines
PhD students, post-doctorates and young economists willing to apply to the Workshop & Summer School should submit:

The number of participants is limited to 25 (3 of them from the Bolzano Province). All applications must be submitted by June 24, 2012. Acceptance will be notified to all applicants by July 2, 2012. Early applications are welcome.
A restricted number of applicants will be selected as speakers in the Workshop sessions.
Applicants who intend to present a working paper in one of the Workshop sessions should also submit a draft of the paper or an abstract.

Tuition and Accommodation fees
The Brixen Workshop & Summer School is funded partly by sponsors and partly by tuition fees. The 2012 tuition fee is € 200. Full accommodation is provided by the
Accademia Cusano/Cusanus Akademie, Piazza Seminario 2, Bressanone/Brixen (http://www.cusanus.bz.it). The full accommodation fee is €300. The fee also includes
the Welcome dinner of September 16, the Farewell dinner of September 21 at the Hotel Grunerbaum, the overnight stay of September 21 and the breakfast of September 22.
Some scholarships to cover the entire tuition fee of € 200 will be awarded in particular cases.
Admitted students must confirm their participation by writing an email to donata.favaro@unipd.it soon after admission.
The fee payment of €500 (or of €300, if selected for a scholarship) has to be made by July 31, 2012. Students who will not have sent their email soon after admission or who will not have made their due payment by July 31 will be replaced by applicants in the waiting list.
