Announcement follows

Paid graduate student research assistantships are available in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Rice University to study the evolution or long-range genome organization in metazoans. The successful candidate will join a growing multidisciplinary research project, funded by the US National Science Foundation’s Emerging Frontiers program, and will receive training in comparative computational genomics, while pursing the MS or PhD degree.

Candidates should have a strong undergraduate science preparation, a passion for research, interest in computational approaches, and a proven ability to work independently.

Rice University offers the full range of course offerings and amenities of a top university, and is located adjacent to the Texas Medical Center, one of the largest concentrations of biomedical research activity in the world. The graduate program of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology offers students excellent support, and a vibrant collaborative research community.
