The 7th WTI Summer Academy
|Scholarship / Financial aid: not available|
Date: 13 July - 14 August 2009
Open to: see Eligibility please
The forthcoming seventh WTI Summer Academy covers many of the most important and current topics in the field of international trade, from rule-making in services and investment to the law and economics of dispute settlement as well as the links between trade remedies and climate change mitigation.
Participants with a diverse background of professional and academic expertise learn to blend the policy aspects of trade with thorough legal interpretation and economic analysis while establishing contacts with fellow professionals and faculty from all over the world.
The Summer Academy, unlike the WTI's Master's Programme (MILE), is essentially open to anyone who has graduated from a tertiary educational institution (bachelors degree or equivalent) or who is in the process of doing so (undergraduate students). Applicants should be able to demonstrate a solid working command of English and should be ready to read a large amount of material in English both prior to and during the Summer Academy.
There is no application fee (however see our cancellation policy under the section on fees). You will normally hear back from the programme coordinator within 48 hours as to whether or not you have been accepted.
The WTI will not be granting scholarships for the Summer Academy. Financial aid, if needed, should be requested from other donor organizations or institutions.
The WTI is still accepting applications for the Summer Academy in 2009.
