The University of Pisa announces the following competition for admission starting in the 2012/2013 academic year for the three year Ph.D. research courses.
Deadline for applications is 13.00 hours (Central European Time) on 5 September 2012
A degree according to the old Italian regulations or an Italian second level or Masters degree or an equivalent academic qualification obtained abroad. For some doctoral courses those candidates who obtain the necessary qualification after the deadline for the competition but by the day before the deadline for registration will be admitted with reserve. This possibility only applies to candidates who are about to obtain Italian qualifications.
Those candidates who have a foreign qualification corresponding to a Master Degree must upload the qualification online, using the upload procedure on the www.studenti.unipi.it website (see Application procedure below). The qualification must be uploaded by 5 September 2012 or the candidate will be excluded from the competition. The applicants may attach, together with their diploma the legal translation and the "Dichiarazione di valore", issued in Italian by the competent Italian diplomatic authorities. The qualification will be examined by the International Relationd Office only with regard to registration for the course.
Applications for the competition must be made exclusively online by 5 September 2012. Applications that do not arrive by that date will not be considered. The application procedure is summarized here .
