Scholarship / Financial aid: NFP scholarships

Date: minimum 2 weeks for a short course, maximum 4 years for a PHD programme

Deadline: 1 May 2012/2 October 2012

Open to: mid-career staff members from one of the 60 NFP countries


Announcement follows

Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP)
For mid-career staff members from one of the 60 NFP countries. For short courses and Master programmes on the NFP courselist and PhD programmes.


For whom?
•Applicants are mid-career professionals with at least three years work experience.
•Applicants are a national of one of the following countries.
•Applicants have been unconditionally admitted to courses and programmes recognized by the NFP programme (Short course, Master degree programme) or to a PHD programme.
•Applicants are nominated by their employers. Applications without the support letter of an employer will not be considered.


Scholarship period
Minimum 2 weeks for a short course, maximum 4 years for a PHD programme.


General requirements and application date
Deadlines may vary, please consult the Netherlands Embassy, Consulate or local Nuffic Neso office in your country well in advance for specific instructions. Enquiries and information about specific local procedures and deadlines, requirements and selection criteria should also be directed to the embassy, consulate or Neso office. Local procedures may differ from the general information provided on Nuffic’s website or in the brochures.


Application fee
If you are applying for an NFP scholarship for a Short course or a Master’s programme you are not required to pay the €100 application fee.

However, we do need to receive evidence that you are intending to apply for the NFP scholarship. The evidence should be a letter from your employer endorsing your study plans and guaranteeing that while you are absent the salary will continue to be paid and your job will be held. This is the same letter that you need to use for your actual NFP application
